This was a small station where the Mary Valley Rattler comes through and our timing was spot on as the train came through whilst we were there.
On Sundays the train stops there for an hour on the return trip so they had entertainment, markets, wine & cheese tastings and a small shop as well as games for the kids.
Faye bought a few things from a lady who happened to be the mother of the guard on the train both days this weekend. We spoke to him quite a lot yesterday as we were in the last car. He is only 23 & loves trains. He has been volunteering for 5 years and is a trainee loco driver but has to do 2 shifts as a guard every year. The last photo is the history of the loco for anyone interested in trains!
From Dagun went to Imbil for a quick look -
Then onto Kenilworth where we are spending 4 nights just near the town in an acreage - on our own tonight.
It was a fairly slow trip as we were coming up on bikes on a bicycle race and it was a fairly windy & hilly.
Started raining after we set up but did have a quick look up the main street this afternoon. Tomorrow we will do a loop drive to Maleny & some other towns but depending on weather forecast. Has been raining steadily since dark. Faye has had a facetime from most of the family for Mothers Day - and is missing being home on Mothers Day.
