Today we travelled north east & to Bribie Island.
First stop was Beachmere to a painted water tower and for morning tea…
Then onto Bribie Island….population is over 23,000 & split into 3 towns. Much more developed than we thought but that only covers a small section of the Island - the rest is National Park. It costs $60 for a 4WD permit to travel up the island so didn’t do that for just a short visit. A completely sand island. As it is an island with bridge access that would help the development.
Had lunch at the Surf Club and otherwise just checked out some of the suggestions from the Tourism lady.
Also has 2 painted water towers but 1 was not readily accessible.
Arrived back at the van around 5.
Tomorrow we move up the coast to Noosa…
