Day 46 - Grenfell

A lazy start to the day as we left Tootool (how many did a google to see where it was?).

Morning tea was at Coolamon and lunch at Barmedman. That was a little stirring of our memories as we lived at Barmedman for 2 years (1977/9). It was only a small town then but most stuff has closed up now. As we travelled we had a contest as to who could remember some of our friends name from that time!

Had lunch next to the Mineral Pool - a photo follows - is empty now and they fill it this month. The park is next to what was our house.

Our camp for tonight is at the old Grenfell railway station. It is a free camp and there are heaps of vans etc here tonight.

Had a look at the Grenfell painted silos…

We have seen these previously.

A few photos of todays travel….

The canola is still everywhere we travel. The price for it must be good - hardly saw much wheat.

The sheep above held us up for a long time - they stayed on the road and ignored the feed on the sides.

Tomorrow we plan to stay at Lake Wallace near Lithgow and will be home on Monday.
