Day 37 - Lake Bringalbert

As you can see we ended up at a different camp than planned - decided to change our route which will mean less travel tomorrow. And this is a lovely place to spend the night - next to a lake and quite a few vans here tonight but heaps of space. Never heard of Bringalbert before we found it in the wikicamps app…

But back to this morning - left Robe around 9.30 and first stop was at Beachport which has the 2nd longest jetty in South Aussie at 772m.

They are doing repair work on the jetty so couldn’t walk the whole lot but as you can see the birds have claimed possession of that section of the jetty.

Then to the beachside cafe for Devonshire tea…

After that drove their Scenic drive along some of the coast which was great. Some photos….

We stopped several times so the above is only a small sample.

Then onto Penola for lunch…

After Penola we travelled through wine country for quite a long way - just km’s of vineyards.

Then into Victoria and some more minor roads to Lake Bringalbert.

Just before the lake there was a property with heaps of metal sculptures along the road - here are a few…

Tomorrow we plan to be around Dimboola.
