Before we saw any beaches we came across George’s Castle….
Don’t know much about it’s history but done by one man who is retired and a 3rd generation islander. It’s lit up at night if you ring him to arrange.
First stop was Stokes Bay which is a very interesting place as you have to walk through the rocks/caves to get to the actual beach. Lot’s of people were visiting this morning.
This is the parking side…
Faye of course collected more rocks…
Then through the narrow openings to this -
Had morning tea here.
Then further along the coast to Snelling Beach…
You could drive on this beach so Percy had to have a go.
Next stop was Western River Cove which was a beautiful place. A lady told us a few days about it - no one else around whilst we were there. Also lunch time.
These are a few photos taken along the way.
Came back via the Highway that we travelled yesterday.
Back at the van around 3 so rest time.
It is a lovely camping area at Discovery Lagoon. The only thing missing is power to the sites but they are installing power by the end if the year. Some photos…
Still here for another 3 nights.
