Left around 9am and then about 50 kms to Gilgandra where coffee was on at The Keystone cafe.
It is the Castlereagh River at Mendooran and Gilgandra.
Gilgandra was where the Cooee march in WW1 started with 35 men from that area.
Then onto Warren - where we had to go through some water as there is flooding on the outskirts of town.
The Macquarie River there. Warren also has a painted water tower…
A short hop then to Nevertire where they have just finished painting the water tower…
Had lunch there and then onto Nyngan.
Ken lived in Nyngan when he was 17…
Nyngan also was having some minor flooding as can see in one if the photos below….
By the time we got to Florida (yes it is a place) decided to stay in the Rest Area. Only ones here at present. We are about 50kms from Cobar.
Tomorrow we hope to get not too far from Broken Hill.
