Day 10 - Ardrossan

Well today was a day of painted water tanks and salt lakes. Because of all the rain in recent times all the lakes now have water coverage. There was a salt industry here in earlier days. The Council have done signage for Water Tower mural trail and Salt lakes trail.

So in the order we saw them…

Now some of the lakes…

The pink lake was not very pink but we were told that it was really pink recently but it changes with the weather. The info board said one of the main cause is a bacteria that is the same one that caused Faye’s bowel perforation  last year!

Now some other photos of the day. Morning tea was at Port Moobowie and lunch at Edithburgh after buying it at the Yorketown Bakehouse.

We came further than we originally planned but tonight is a lovely bush camp run by the Council. Five kms from Ardrossan.

Tomorrow we should be at Farrell Flat.
