Day 9 - Oberon

The weather was much improved today. Max temp was only 10 but virtually no wind so pleasant enough to be outside. However, we spent time driving from Hill End to Oberon. Left around 10 with morning tea at The Rustic Cafe at Sofala and arrived in Oberon at 1.30. First stop was the Tourist information centre and then to Oberon Bakery to buy lunch.

Couldn’t check in at the Jenolan Holiday Park until after 2pm so we are now settled in. Will need to do some food shopping later on - and Faye says we are buying tea!

We are staying here for 4 nights. This park accepts the NSW Stay vouchers so our 2 vouchers covers most of the cost. The snow that most of you would have seen on TV has now gone - not a sign of white anywhere! The Info Centre said that more snow is forecast for Sunday night. We are leaving Monday morning for home so perhaps may see some snow…
