Day 24 - Bourke

A slow start this morning and we left Beds on the Barwon around 10.30am.

Last nights sunset and this morning on the Barwon. Also more murals on the way out of town.

Only 100km to Bourke so we were here by lunchtime. Staying at the van park in town which is now getting really good reviews compared to Kidmans Camp where we have stayed previously. We have a great large grassed site under some bottle trees.

After lunch had a quick visit to the Back o Bourke Info Centre as it closes at weekends until the tourist season gets going usually after Easter.

On the way back to the van park had a look at their painted water tower…

The man is Percy Hobson who was the first indigenous athlete to win a gold medal at a Commonwealth Games. Perth1962.

Now resting back at the van. It is really hot here today!

Staying here for 3 nights.
