The bottom line is the woolshed on the property.
A short hop to Quilpie where sculptures are in many places in the main street.
Had morning tea at the Bakery.
And then a look at the opal altar at the Catholic Church.
Also some murals…
After giving Percy a drink headed off for Eromanga - only about 100km…
Eromanga is well known for 3 things - Dinosaurs, oil and its location being the town in Australia that is the furthest distance from any sea.
As you come towards town and in town you can see the dinosaur influence…
And the town has a small oil refinery that has operated since 1986.
We are camped alongside the Community Hall tonight and tomorrow we are booked to do a tour at 9am at the new Natural History Museum. Only opened recently. Eromanga was the location of the largest dinosaur skeleton found in Australia. Was on the news not long before we left home.
Then tomorrow possibly on to Noccundra.
