Day 58 - The Lake Quilpie

Left Evening Star around 9.30am with a quick stop in Charleville for Post Office and Chemist.

Then on towards Quilpie…

Along we way came to Cooladdi where we stopped for lunch at the Foxtrap Roadhouse. Big town - population 3 and their own postcode..Said to be the smallest town in Australia with own postcode. It is called a ghost town. The defunct railway station was nearby the highway so had to have a look

Then onto The Lake which is just east of Quilpie where we are spending the night alongside the lake. It is on private property which have sheep, goats and cattle.

Lots of birds around so Faye was active with the camera…

A nice sunset over the water at present so that will feature in tomorrows blog.

Tomorrow to Eromanga.
