Day 4 - Weethalle

Left Harden Showgrounds around 10am and after fuelling up (petrol much cheaper than Newcastle) and looking at the Light Horse memorial headed for Temora. Morning tea at Wallendbeen on the way.

,

Found a bakery in Temora and after a quick visit to IGA headed for Barmedman where we had lunch parked in the shade next to the school where our kids attended in 1977 to 1979. Tim was Captain of Barmedman in 6th class and started High School in Temora. Matt was too young for school!

The huge mineral pool was very popular and still is...

Next stop was West Wyalong -

The bronze sculpture is of a famous painting by Sir Russell Drysdale of the main street of West Wyalong in  1949.

Then onto Weethalle where we are spending the night at the Showground.

Weethalle also has Painted Silos which we have seen previously but is one of our favourites. The artist was Heesco who is the artist currently doing the Harden silos.

Tomorrow on to Hay.
