There was a gallery across the road with these things in the outside yard...
As we travelled towards Hay the country got flatter and the temperature hotter. It was 38/9 as we travelled. As there was no shade to stop under we came through to Hay for a late lunch. We are camped at Sandy Point on the Murrumbidgee River just on the edge of town. We found some shade for the van and there has been a pleasant breeze. The camp adjoins the river and it is very pleasant near the water.
Hay has some newly painted water tanks with the title “Hay - the town that went to war”...
Tomorrow we will be at Echuca in Victoria. Our border passes are ready!
