A wet day today with constant showers. However, it was an interesting day with flowers again regularly along the road. Had morning tea at Varley and lunch just outside Ravensthorpe.
Along the road there always seems to be something different to see. Would be interesting to know the story behind the truck!
Whilst driving through a nature reserve came across another rock to climb (much smaller) and lots of flowers including orchids. So Faye is featuring more of her flower finds today.
Tomorrow we are going to look at Fitzgerald River National Park.
Some people may be wondering how we decided upon which parts of WA we would visit on this trip. This is our 5th trip to WA over 23 years so our criteria was mainly 2 things - (1) places we hadn't visited previously, eg: the Goldfields above Kalgoorlie, The Indian Ocean drive, the Avon Valley and the places to Hyden. (2) to see wildflowers. It turns out that they are saying this is the best wildflower season for many years, hence all the flower photos.
We didn't visit the main tourist places on the south coast or the south west as we had been to all those places 3 times in the past.

That orchid in the centre is fascinating, Faye! Have never seen one like that! MB
