The weather has deteriorated with rain, wind and cold. A wet night last night and we stayed in bed this morning wondering what to do!
Decided that we would give Wave Rock a go and as we went the rain stopped and some sun came out. So for the time at the rock and when we were climbing it and walking around part of it it was fine, although windy.
Had lunch there and then the rain came in again. We enjoyed Wave Rock and the climb was not too bad. Faye hurt her leg yesterday but was able to do everything today.
The last photo is called Hippo's yawn!
This afternoon we went another 18km to another granite outcrop called "The Humps". It is quite high and it rained on the way there but stopped as we arrived. The summit walk was 1.7 km so we decided we would give it a go seeing it wasn't raining. It was harder than we thought - both going up and coming down. When we reached the summit a rain shower was coming in but then went around us (we were concerned about going down steep rock it is was wet). Ended up OK but it was a challenge...
As we were going back to Hyden the rain came in again. So in spite of the weather we were able to do everything without getting wet.
Tomorrow we are going south to Ravensthorpe to see Fitzgerald River National Park.
