Day 56 - Fitzgerald River National Park

It rained most of last night and the van park owner said we have had 35mm. Today was to be in Fitzgerald River National Park which is about 60km from Ravensthorpe and we woke up and wondered how would we go. This was the last opportunity for Faye to go flower hunting!

Anyway set off and we had morning tea in Hopetoun after visiting the bakery. The day ended up great as despite showers around we were able to do everything and go everywhere without getting wet.

Faye didn't have to go hunting as flowers were everywhere! So there are lots of photos to come.

The National Park is very diverse and very well known for its Royal Hakea's. The following photo is one with 2 art works from the Farm Gate Art trail.

The next set are general views around the park...

And of course the flowers..now here are 18 of the approx 1,800 plant species in the park.

On arriving back in Ravensthorpe we went to a lookout about 10kms from town and of course more flowers.

Tomorrow we go to Esperance.

  1. The flowers are exquisite! so glad the rain didn't spoil it for you. Now you are off to Esperance, one of my favourite towns in Aus. Hope the lake is pink! MB
