Day 68 - Coober Pedy

The last of the gravel roads today - about 180km but the condition was really great and as good as a bitumen road except for the dust. These photos are some taken along the way - in many ways a very barren landscape but the cattle we saw were in great condition. Mt Arckaringa station said they have only had 4 inches over the past 2 years!

Patsies car should bring back some memories for Jim & Dorothy!

On the way in we diverted through The Breakaways - a little like the Painted Desert...

We arrived at Coober Pedy early afternoon - had a quick look around and then rested/cleaned.

We have had an opportunity to talk to all the kids , seeing it's Fathers Day and Faye went on cooking strike so had dinner at The Opal Inn hotel (the caravan park is behind the hotel). Staying here for 2 nights.
