Day 45 - Camooweal

Faye got this photo of a crow yesterday sitting on a point...

Left Mt Isa this morning as the rodeo was starting - all the traffic & vans today were all going to The Isa.

Still very interesting country to travel through...

Faye was busy with the camera & got this shot...

Passed a big mob of cattle with 3 women being the drovers (heard about them on the ABC) so when we arrived in Camooweal we visited The Drovers Camp which was very interesting. Did a tour of their exhibition & grounds (a huge drovers reunion is held each year - in 2 weeks time)...

Faye had to make a purchase which was a sort of vase made from a gidgee fence post still with the holes - here with a drover!

Then came to our nights camp - alongside the Georgina River. It is a great spot right alongside the water with heaps of birds. Here are some...

Faye is now relaxing....

The plan for tomorrow is to go to the Barkly Homestead Roadhouse..only 13 km & we will be in the Northern Territory.
