Queensland Day 31 Umagico

Some rain showers during last night but mostly dry this morning but had to pack up tent wet.

Had a look at Canal Creek near where we were camped last night - brought back some memories as it was the creek that Jack got stuck in a few years ago & got water in..

Faye took this photo nearby..
Then back through this creek - Faye reckoned she could reach out the window & touch the water - then the exit from the creek..
Then to the very expensive ferry - only cost us $66 as we were seniors! This is over the Jardine River..
David had told us about this campground at Alau Beach at Umagico which is an indigenous community. We have a camp near the beach, with power etc & it is a beautiful spot. This is the beach & looking back to the camp..
Had a look around Bamaga etc this afternoon & tomorrow we are spending the day going to the "tip" of Cape York.....
