Queensland Day 30 Eliot Falls

A smaller journey today - but went up part of the Old Telegraph Line to Palm Creek. We did the OTL a few years ago & this is the first creek crossing going north..

Whilst we were there 3 4WD's turned around as they didn't want to damage their vehicles. It was a lot worse than it used to be. Anyway, our route took us back to the Development Road and then went into Captain Billy's Landing for a look...

Then 30km's back to the main road & then back onto the OTL again to Fruit Bat Falls..

Then onto our camp for the night at Eliot & Twin Falls. We had to cross this creek toget there - the water was reasonably deep..

This is Eliot Falls. Can you see the Indian Head?

Now to Twin Falls for our afternoon bath...

Tomorrow we will be around Bamaga where we will stay for 3/4 nights to visit the Tip of Cape York..
