This was the day to get to the top of Aussie land. On the way there is a mandatory stop at the Croc Tent..
We both bought a shirt and some other stuff. Initially the road from Bamaga was really corrugated but later is a beautiful drive through rainforest and one more deep creek..
It is about a 15 minute walk to The Tip - initially along this beach..
It is a really beautiful place...Faye did get her feet into the water..needed help to get out so Ken slipped as well so we both fell - no real damage but Ken's knee is sore tonight.
Not many people around when we were there but someone to take this photo of us both. As we were leaving some tour groups arrived.
To come back need to climb a rocky hill which gives some great panoramas..
We then went to Somerset which was lots of history...walked along a beach to this old well where they got fresh water back in the 1800's.
On the way back this fellow was on the road...
