Day 19 - Erica & Walhalla

Well it remained hot today but the Total Fire Ban was lifted so the train trip was on….

Only about 20 kms to Walhalla but lots of bends and also many hairpins…

The murals were at Thomson where the train terminates.

Before the train trip enjoyed Devonshire Tea at the Goods Shed cafe.

Had a great opportunity to talk to the train staff (all volunteers) before the trip and Ken had a lesson on how to drive a train!

After the trip had a look around the historic town and then lunch at The Witchery Cafe.

The bagpipe player does so most weekends. He is up on a hill overlooking the town.

Then this afternoon we did a tour of an old gold mine….

It was “cold” in the mine so a great relief from the heat outside.

Still staying at Erica tomorrow.
