Travelled north today on the Hyland Highway - had morning tea next to the roses at Gormandale & then onto Traralgon.
Just outside Traralgon passed close to Loy Yang power stations and coal mine.
Izzy had a drink & then another 40kms to Erica.
This was the closest we could get to Walhalla due to it being a long weekend in Victoria. Tomorrow we are booked into train ride & gold mine tour at Walhalla but the train ride may not happen.
It is very hot day today & was a Total Fire Ban day so the trains were not operating. It is a diesel loco but not allowed to operate on Total days. They announce the bans daily but due to the forecast it is unlikely to be running tomorrow. It runs deep into the forest.
