Central West NSW Holiday...Day 1 Katoomba

Well it is finally time for a short 3 week holiday. Faye had major surgery 5 weeks ago and is now feeling better even though she has to very carefully watch what she eats. Was on fluids for 4 weeks. So we decided to go a little way west and just do small days and stay in some small country towns.

Today was the biggest day to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Staying here for 3 nights. Came through torrential rain today - was down to 40kph at one stage on the M1. Katoomba had good rain this morning but had fined up by the time we arrived. They have had 27 inches so far this month so the waterfalls were running!

This afternoon we did a walk as the Katoomba Falls are just across the road from the caravan park.
