Day 78 - Wallerawang

Left Ardlethan around 8.30am with an icy cold morning and fog.

Had morning tea next to the newly painted silos at Grenfell...

And this was the final painted silo/tank for this holiday.

Before Grenfell we came through Barmedman where we lived from 1977 to 1979. And this was our house...

Lunch was at Cowra and then came through to Lake Wallace near Wallerawang.

After Bathurst there was lots of snow alongside the road - assume from last weekends cold snap.

We will be home tomorrow  - about 260km.

This is the final blog entry for these holidays. We trust you have enjoyed the holiday and coming along with us. This holiday has been very varied in what we have done and seen. It has been great and we have thoroughly enjoyed it (except falls and eye gouges!).

Some statistics for those who are interested:

Days : 79
Distance: just over 12,000km
Petrol: 2200 litres
Average cost: $1.57 per litre
Lowest: $1.30
Highest: $1.83
Average daily cost of camping: $10.98
Ken always does a budget and we came in under budget! (Distance was lower, volume of petrol up due to higher consumption, average cost of petrol was lower,  total petrol cost lower, camp costs lower, food cost lower, sundries - way up!)

Until next time....Bye
