Day 9 - Fitzroy Development Road

Woke up this morning to blue skies but it clouded over but no rain.

Had a lovely meal last night in the miners mess. All you could eat with desserts and drinks ($15 each). Had it all to ourselves due to shift changes.

Before we left had a look at the Miners Memorial for all those killed in the Moura coal mines. Only 1 huge open cut now that exports 9m tonne annually.

The last 3 photos are close ups on the painted water tower that we didn't see yesterday as it was raining at the time.

Left around 10am with morning tea at a rest area, lunch at Duaringa and we are staying the night alongside the Fitzroy Development Road about 100 kms north of Dingo. Did 329km today.

The above photos were taken at, Banana, Wowan, Dingo and tonights camp.

Also we do have mobile reception and TV. Tomorrow we are going to Lake Elphinstone.
