Day 5 - Wallumbilla

Left Dirranbandi at 10am after having morning tea at the local bakery...

The bakery has a great reputation and it lived up to it. The vanilla slices were fantastic. They have a vanilla slice festival later in June when they make 50 different varieties of them. Then a early lunch at St George alongside the Ballone River.

The statue is of a local aboriginal who won the Stawell gift in 1910.

Then came across country to Wallumbilla where Faye is meeting up with their local KYB (Know your Bible) group tomorrow morning.

Percy has been loaded up with care packs for the ladies here at Wallumbilla which were donated by the Bel Air KYB ladies.

Wallumbilla is only a small town and we visited their Calico cottage which is an arts and craft shop with some refreshments and an adjoining heritage room. All run by volunteers.

We are staying at the local Showgrounds where powered sites are by donation. Here for 2 nights.
