Left Portland around 9.30am and had morning tea at Port Fairy alongside the beach...
A correction - it is PORT Campbell - in the title above.
Then onto Warrnambool for lunch. Went out to the breakwall and there was a cafe The Pavilion - thought we could get some takeaway but it was a restaurant so had a very nice sit down meal (Faye says she doesn't have to cook tonight).
It looked over Middle Island - photo 4 - which was featured in the movie Oddball. Thats where the Maremma dogs protect the penguins and still do.
Then as we started along the Great Ocean Road and the weather started to deteriorate. Got to look at some of the lookouts which are featured in the following photos...
They were taken at the Bay of Islands, Peterborough and The Grotto. Quite spectacular coastline.
Then it started to rain so we had to skip a couple of places - we will catch up with these tomorrow as we are staying here at Port Campbell for 2 nights.
Just after we arrived it started to rain heavy so had to set up as we could. Then storms came through. The forecast for tomorrow is looking better.
Should also mention that we are not finished with Painted Silos - still 5 to see.
