Day 23 - Port Campbell

Well today was great weather wise. The rain and wind went and we had a warm sunny day to view a lot of the coastline along this stretch of the Great Ocean Road. Last night we slept to the sound of waves as we didnt realise that we were so close to the beach. Some photos around Port Campbell...

In photo 3 our van is almost hidden beneath the trees. And the bunnies came out to greet us this morning.

First up we went east to the 12 apostles and worked our way back to town. Then bought lunch and then headed west for a few km to look at a couple of places that we didn't see yesterday due to the rain.

It is spectacular scenery along this coast so here are just some examples...

Photo 5 is one that very few people see as it is not signposted and you need to go down a rough track to the coast. It is called “Bakers Oven”.

Some more of the coastline...

It took us about 5 hours with lots of walking. Still at Port Campbell tonight and tomorrow night we are going to camp at Aire River west camp in the Otway National Park. No mobile reception there so will be 2 days to next blog.
