Day 20 - Portland

The weather forecast for today was some rain but it turned out to be a nice sunny day.

Went to Cape Bridgewater to walk out 2.5km to the end of the Cape to see a seal colony. Not the best time of the year but there were lots around and also playing in the water. It was a long hard walk...

. Faye wasn't really ready to give up! And that was only half way.

That cliff where Faye is on the seat has a sign saying that that it is the highest cliff in Victoria.

Some more photos of the day...

The area is just so green. After the walk drive to the other side of the Cape to the blowholes (not blowing today but rough seas) and the nearby petrified forest. Then to Bridgewater Lakes where we had lunch just below the cave.

Portland is said to be the oldest settlement in Victoria. It was settled the year before Melbourne.
