We only travelled 120km today but although the road was okay it was winding nearly all the way. And mostly we were going up or down. The highest we got was 1500m. Don't ask how many hairpin bends!

The first photo was next to the van this morning at Omeo. Next one is morning tea stop at Black Duck Hole. Was an hour return walk so didn't do it...
Lunch was at Lightening Creek (photos 3 & 4) and the others along the road.
Once we turned off the highway at Mitta Mitta it was a much better straight road and scenic as we came through farmland to our camp at Katie Peters Memorial Camp. Katie was a local girl who was killed in February 2013 fighting fires in the alpine area. A tree fell on her truck and she and another young fellow were killed. Katie was only 19 and her family have dedicated this camp site to her memory. It is on the Mitta Mitta river which is downstream from Dartmouth Dam. It is so lovely here right alongside the river. Heaps of birds around.

Tomorrow we will be staying somewhere in the Corryong area.
