Day 13 - Pildappa Rock

Left Iron Knob around 9am, morning tea at Kimba which is said to be half way across Australia. Came through to Pildappa Rock for a late lunch. The rock is 15km north of Minnipa - the road in was gravel but in good condition. Some photos of todays journey...

The mine is Iron Knob, the galah at Kimba and the granite statue at Wudinna.

After lunch we climbed the rock and then walked around it. A very interesting place and a great place to free camp. The sunset was a good one and the last photo is the sun setting on the rock.

Only 1 other van here tonight - have talked to them and they are on the way to Head of Bight to see the whales. We have now come across a few people who have travelled from Vic and SA to see the whales. Apparently there are heaps of them there at present. We will be there on Tuesday.

Tomorrow we are going to Penong. The final photos are Faye's flowers/birds etc of the day.

The last one is a bird sitting on the steep side of the rock at sunset.
