We loved our stay at Pildappa Rock and Ken was up before sunrise to climb the rock and got these photos...
Left about 9.30am and morning tea stop turned into a tyre change on the van. We have a tyre pressure monitoring system and the alarm went off - the valve stem had split. Took a while as the van jack just wouldn't lift the van so Percy's jack did the job.
When we got to Ceduna - first stop was a tyre business to get tyre fixed. Cost $10 and they changed the tyres again! Had a late lunch at Ceduna waterfront and then came onto Penong.
Penong is famous for its windmills. The one in the photo is the biggest comet one in Australia.
This will be the last caravan park for about 4 days whilst we cross the Nullabor.
Tomorrow we go to the Head of the Bight to see the whales. Not sure what mobile reception we will have so blog could be late.

hHve really enjoyed the photos of S.A. and have been to most of the places in my growing up years.
ReplyDeleteHad a sister in law who taught at Ceduna and my second brother taught 65mls west of Ceduna at a farming community call Bookabie.
Enjoy the trip across the Bight.
