Day 56 - Meungu Creek

A good night last night with the smell of the nearby cows!

Today we had a sleep in as we were only to do a small day. We diverted via Mission Beach as we have never been there before. Did a drive along the coast, had morning tea alongside Mission Beach, and a heap of skydivers landed on the beach alongside us, Faye found some butterflys to photo, and then we did a walk along the shops. Just a little south found a bakery to buy lunch and then pulled up alongside Wongaling Beach and the last photo is the view from the van while we ate - looking at Dunk Island.

Then we came to our place of residence - Meungu Creek - a basic bush camp park alongside the creek but we do have power and water (first time since leaving home 56 days ago that we have paid for a caravan park site!) at a cheap cost of $15.

This place is 5km north of Cardwell and we are staying here for 2 nights. Tomorrow we are doing a trip up into the mountains.
