Day 13 - Fletcher Creek north of Charters Towers

Had a reasonably quiet night last night - not too many trucks.

The sunset photo is from last night. The country is very dry and we passed heaps of cattle trucks heading south with cattle (also saw a train yesterday with its load all of cattle) we guess going to better pastures.
Some were on the road feeding. Had morning tea at Belyando Crossing where Faye photographed the bower bird (we think). Lunch was at Charters Towers. Had a look around & visited Woolworths - also gave Percy a drink.
Tonight we are about 40km north of CT at Fletcher Creek. Previous times we have been here the creek has been flowing well - today was completely dry...

Only about 400 km to go until we arrive at Quinola Lakes where Faye's brother & wife live. We will arive on Wednesday.

No phone reception here so blog will not go until sometime tomorrow.
