Left the caves around 10.30 and had morning tea at Father Woods park…

He was the parish priest at Penola from 1857 & was also a scientist & who encouraged Sister Mary MacKillop & they started the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

Onto Penola for lunch. Through this whole Coonawarra/Penola area there were wineries everywhere.

Then onto Casterton which is in Victoria.

Casterton is said to be the birthplace of the Kelpie dog…

We are camped on the edge of town at Ess Lagoon.

We will now be slowly heading north towards home.
Tomorrow the plan is for Dimboola.
