A good nights rest - these photos taken this morning…
Our camp just downstream from Loch 10 on the Murray.
Then went to a tower lookout opposite where the Darling River & Murray River meet….to then be the Murray until it reaches the coast.
The birds were in a nearby tree.
As you can see the water from each river are different colours.
Then went to Visitors Centre for morning tea & view the exhibits.
The Fergy tractors have a special meaning in Wentworth as they saved the town from flooding in 1956!
Had a bit of lunch and then went on a 2 hour cruise on PS Melbourne from the Darling to the Murray & through Loch 10.
This is the last privately owned genuine steam paddle steamer on the Murray River. Normally operates out of Mildura but was here for a few days.
Then went to Perry Sandhills just outside town and a dune climb to see the God Tree….
The River Red Gum is said to be hundreds of years old & the sand has covered 5 metres of the trunk.
Tomorrow the plan is for Waikerie.
