A wet night at Nyngan and rained for most of today but did fine up as we reached our camp for tonight. Then a little sunshine to finish the day…
First up this morning went to the shopping area & of course - coffee & cake was the first stop….at the Bogan Coffee Shop next door to the Big Bogan.
Nearly everything has the “bogan” theme - that’s the name of the local river.
The centre photos are Ken’s old workplace & the next one where he lived (in the upstairs of the Council building). The 6 single bankers from 3 banks all lived there - Ken learned to wash/iron & cook etc!
The local water tank has just been painted so this was the first time we had seen it…
Finally left Nyngan at 11.30 & came through to Cobar where we had lunch (of course via the bakery!).
Then onto the rest area where we are camped tonight…
Lots of clocks in the trees!
Tomorrow about 200kms to Willcania where we will stay in the caravan park.
We didn’t have mobile reception in the van so just put the phone outside on the van roof & we trust this uploads. The photos went into Facebook OK.
