A fairly cold night at Mendooran and a slow start this morning. Faye took some photos whilst Ken watered & emptied Luna…
Left around 11am for a 50km run to Gilgandra where we gave Izzy a drink (ie the MUX) - took some photos and had lunch next to the Castlereagh River again…
Then onto Nyngan via Warren & Nevertire who both have painted water towers. It was raining & stormy most of this leg so didn’t get out of car to take photos.
Arrived at Nyngan around 3.30 in the midst of a passing storm.
We are staying in a rest area near the centre of town & opposite the original railway station where Ken got off a train 65 years ago as a 16 year old to start his year working here with the Bank of NSW.
It’s still raining so will get more photos tomorrow. Travel tomorrow will be to a rest area past Cobar.
