Day 41 - Leichhardt Lagoon (near Normanton)

Today started on a very sad note as our dear friend Margaret Brown passed away last night. She was 87 & riddled with cancer & in much pain so it is a blessing she is now with her Jesus who she served faithfully all her life with her Max who passed 3 years ago.

Whilst Ken was filling Luna with water Faye got these photos….

Then Izzy had a drink and went to nearby Lake Belmore for morning tea…

Croydon has maintained their old buildings & the Heritage precinct (1st photo) looks good.

Then onto our nights camp which is 27km before Normanton. 

The river above is the Norman River. This is a beautiful place and we have a site overlooking the lagoon. $20 a night - no power.
