Day 21 - Hughenden

Not a lot to report today….a quiet night at Cornish Creek. The Nat Buchanan bridge was named after the original landholder of Bowen Downs which in 2012 was the largest pastoral station in Qld. In its day it was the largest sheep station in the world. Still is a working property but much has been sold off.

The first 3 photos were taken last night & the others this morning.

Today was mainly driving (about 300km) with morning tea at a rest area & lunch at Torrens Creek where we joined the main highway until Hughenden.

We are camped in a gravel pit just outside town and will have a look around in the morning. Then heading north again & staying tomorrow night in Blackbraes National Park. No mobile reception again so blog will be a day late again.

At this stage we plan to get to Faye’s brother on Friday.
