Day 11 - Jondaryan Woolshed

A reasonably quiet day today. Late get up - breakfast - clothes washing and then a walk around this complex. As well as a woolshed it is a “village” and an extensive museum.

You saw the woolshed yesterday so just a few extra photos. The 2nd one is a bike powered shearing machine from 1900.

Most weekends they have things running and a train for the kids but not today.

The 4th photo is a heat machine used for roadmaking in the early days.

The 2 story house is the original Bank of NSW in nearby Oakey. It was heritage listed and Westpac paid for it to be moved to Jondaryan in 1986.

The last 2 photos is one of the original homesteads (and the only surviving one) at Jondaryan - built in 1864. Don’t think that Faye wanted to move in!

We are featured in the school and lock up!

Had a relaxing afternoon. Leaving here in the morning and the plan is Chinchilla.
