Day 3 - Tumut

A sleep in this morning at Jugiong as we only had to travel 75km to Tumut. Left around 11am as storms were closing in. First stop was “The Dog on the Tuckerbox” for morning tea.

The 2nd photo is a memorial to Sergeant Edmund Parry who was killed by bushrangers in 1864.

Arrived at Tumut around 1pm and after setting up and some washing had a quick look around Tumut before relaxing…

Had a quick look at the broom factory where they have been making millet brooms for 45 years and checked out the Tourism Info Centre.

The river is the Tumut River at the caravan park.

We are here until Monday and tomorrow catching up with Ian Owers who we have known since we lived at Barmedman in 1977/9 and went to church with the Owers family in Temora.
