Day 23 - Lake Wallace

Before we left Grenfell had a look at it’s painted silos…

Then onto Cowra for morning tea  at the Rose Garden Coffee and a look at a hologram at the Info Centre which gives the story if the Prisoner of War breakout at Cowra during the 2nd WW.

Cowra has newly painted water tanks which adjoin the POW camp site….

After Cowra the lunch stop was at Carcoar as we headed for Bathurst….

On entering Bathurst Izzy Isuzu reminded us that it had not driven Mount Panorama - so….

The races are on this weekend so there were people everywhere getting ready - but the track was still open. Ken & Izzy are happy!

Then onto Lake Wallace where we are spending the night. About 10k  from Lithgow.

We will be home tomorrow so this will be our last blog.

Some stats are - by the time we get home - 4,540km. Purchased 605 litres of diesel at average cost of $2.26 per litre. Average 13.3 litres per 100km which is heaps better than Percy Prado!

Thanks for coming along with us…..until next time
Faye & Ken
