Day 6 - Brunswick Heads

A day of memories as we drove to Byron Bay then across to Bangalow where we lived from 1965 to 1968. Then next stop was Mullumbimby where Tim, our firstborn came into this world.

The traffic to Byron Bay was horrible as it was a long weekend in Qld and most cars were from Qld. Finally got to the Main Beach where we had our morning coffee.

Bangalow has changed but still the same buildings but with different occupants (except the pub)…

The last photo was where Ken worked for 3 years. Had lunch at the Cafe next to the old bank.

The last photo was our home and Tim’s first home…

Then across to Mullumbimby where Tim was born.

The first 2 photos were taken at St Helena lookout.

Bought afternoon tea at Uncle Tom’s - that business was on the original highway & their pies were famous. Still looks much the same today! We went to Church at Mullum and bought lunch there many a time.

We were back to the van around 3 after giving Izzy a drink. Then time for a sleep until time to check out the sunset over the Brunswick River at the caravan park.

Tomorrow we arrive in Queensland & heading to Watson Park Convention Centre where we are staying for 4 nights. It belongs to the SDA Church and is in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane.
