Day 40 - Greens Lake Corop

As we were getting ready to leave Avoca noticed that markets were commencing just along the riverside so we had to visit….

Faye did make some purchases and we had morning tea and checked out a small Chinese Garden adjoining.

Then onto Wedderburn….

Much of todays was on small country roads rather than main roads but all were in pretty good condition even though many were single lane bitumen.

Wedderburn has had several bird murals which were painted by an artist that has done lots of silos (& the ones at Rochester below). The best is on the front of the Uniting Church…

And several other buildings.

Their park where we had lunch was very well done (after buying it from 24 Karat Cafe). The 2 defence statues are 2 VC winners.

Then to Rochester - we had seen 2 painted silos previously but they had a new one of a platypus. 

Tonight we are staying at Greens Lake which is not far from Rochester.

Tomorrow the plan is to Winton Wetlands near Benalla.
