Day 17 - Normanville

A fairly quiet day today. First up we did a walk along an old stagecoach road which was used from 1836 as a connection from Cape Jervis to Adelaide. It went through a gorge which we were going to walk to however it started to rain lightly and the further we went it started to become very muddy so we turned around.

The river is the Yankalilla which the stagecoach road followed.

Later in the morning had a quick look along the coast which looks out to the St Vincent Gulf.

In between those 2 activities we had morning tea at Normanville Bakery and some food shopping. A few murals around town…

The van park water feature was working today…

We were thinking if going to Victor Harbor tonight but decided against it as we will go through there after Kangaroo Island. Had a relaxing afternoon instead.

Tomorrow is the day - to Kangaroo Island. 12 noon ferry - about 30km from here…
