Day 11 - Barambah Bush Park

Not a lot to report today - a late breakfast then reading. Went into Murgon close to lunch time and after giving Percy a drink (courtesy of NSW Gvt - Regional Travel Card) went to the Services Club for lunch. A good feed - and dessert was huge & delicious.

A guy at the club told us where to go to get a view a few kms out of town but didn’t see much as there were showers everywhere.

The 3rd photo is Boat Mountain.

Today Murgon is completely isolated - cannot travel in any direction - all the roads are closed. For some of them it is not only the amount of rain but there are 2 large dams in the area and because they are full there is huge amounts of water going over the spillways and into the creeks and rivers and covering roads. Two vanners next to us were leaving this morning going north but after getting ready they had to stay. No one seems to know how long this will last…The dam we visited yesterday is now cut off with the road closed not far from the van park.

Anyway at least we are safe and access to a town!
