Day 24 - Cooktown

The nights here are very warm and the days are over 30o. Sleeping very light as it doesn’t cool down all that much at night…

Last night we went to the lookout at Grassy Hill for sunset - a popular place to be…

Slow start this morning with first stop at the local markets and for coffee!

Then went onto Endeavour Falls - about 35kms. Had to wait awhile as an ambulance was there dealing with an incident! But good excuse to buy ice creams while we waited!

Then onto Isabella Falls…

For lunch we went to Hope Vale and found a lovely spot near a creek…

Another reason to visit was to take photos of the local school for a good friend, Kim Hawgood who has commenced a new job with Good to Great Schools and Hope Vale is one of the schools she will be working with as it helps indigenous schools.

The rest of the afternoon relaxing in the shade next to the van.
