Day 3 - Goondiwindi

A good nights sleep with a relaxed morning seeing no travel. After breakfast headed into town for some shopping and check out the shops. Faye did buy some shoes as she left her walking shoes at home. We are even now as Ken left his photo connector from camera to iPad at home. Tried to buy one at Gunnedah but hopeless in country towns. Thankfully the camera has wifi so am able to transfer photos from camera to use in blog. Very slow but works.

Faye is sitting in the Mayoral chair in the historic council chambers. Goondiwindi is a lovely town situated on the Macintyre River.

Had lunch in the caravan then went to took at some of the sites around town.

First stop was a Sculpture Art Trail just outside town…

Next was a statue of Gunsynd - the Goondiwindi Grey which won heaps of races in the 1970’s as well as a painted water tank nearby…

The tree is The Tree of Knowledge!

Then to Bowen Lane to see some of the art…

The final stop was at the Boat ramp where a very colourful toilet block and other sculptures.

Now relaxing for the evening. Tomorrow still here but will be a day of relaxation!
